Feisty and fiercely independent, Lhasas are definitely not lap dogs. Lhasas are often suspicious of strangers and jealous of other pets. They're quick-tempered and not the best breed for families with young children. Lhasas usually travel well. Origin: Tibet Height: 9" - 11" Weight: 13 to 15 pounds Coat: Straight and hard with lots of hair on the face and forehead. Brush and comb at least every other day. Colors: Red, gold, cream, honey, white, gray, brown, black, particolored and shaded. Eyes are dark brown; nose is black. Special Consideration: If you buy a Lhasa Apso from poor breeding stock, it might be overly aggressive. Buy only from a reputable breeder. |
