The English Shepherd is an old British farm dog brought to American by early English settlers. English Shepherds are calm and easygoing. They make great family pets. They're good with children, but sometimes aggressive with strange dogs. They're protective of their families and suspicious of strangers. Height: approximately 20" Weight: approximately 50 pounds Coat: Medium-length with longer hair on the chest, neck, stomach, and legs. Brush twice a week. Ears prick up; tail hangs down. Colors: Black and white, black and tan, or sable and white. Eyes and nose are dark. |
